Prof Danny Wolkowitz was the keynote speaker at the ‘Urban Jewish Heritage: Presence and Absence’ Conference in Krakow in September 2018.
The Conference was also the occasion for the launch of his new book, The Remembered and Forgotten Jewish World: Jewish Heritage in Europe and the United States, and an article based on the book recently appeared in Jewish Renaissance magazine. His writing points to the need to have a far fuller and richer understanding of the Jewish life that was in Eastern Europe.
