The Foundation’s Great Synagogue of Slonim Project is being run by a Steering Committee chaired by Simon Kaplinsky who himself has family connections to Slonim. The Steering Committee is supported by a Technical Sub-Committee of heritage experts who have been providing advice and guidance.
The Steering Committee recently released a statement providing an update on its current approach and announcing the appointment of the Belarusian Voluntary Society for the Protection of Historical and Cultural Monuments as architectural consultants to undertake design studies.
