The Slonim Great Synagogue will go to auction again on 29 December 2020.
The Foundation for Jewish Heritage has been developing its vision for the synagogue and is awaiting the completion of a design by its architects. A further study will set out the potential social and economic benefit of the renovated Synagogue for Slonim, its surrounding areas and Belarus as a whole. The study is essential to enable the Foundation to establish if its plans are feasible. We are making meaningful progress toward this but, as some work remains to be done, we will not be making a bid.
We await the outcome of the auction as we continue to develop our proposals for the preservation and restoration of the Great Synagogue.
